Leave the car at home
Want to enjoy the festival without the hassle of taking your car? As part of our commitment to the environment, we are providing a free bus for visitors from Glenrothes Bus Station and Markinch Railway Station. Timetables will be available in the run up to Big Tent.

Trains

You can also plan your journey to the Big Tent by public transport by clicking on to Traveline Scotland or give them a phone on 0870 608 2 608.

Cycling
Fife has a superb network of signposted cycle routes. If you live locally, why not cycle to the Big Tent? If you're travelling from further afield but would still like to cycle, you could take the train to Markinch or Ladybank Railway Stations and cycle from there.

National Cycle Route 1 (North) passes within just 2 miles of Falkland. Leave the Route at the village of Dunshalt and join the signposted Local Route (featuring a 'green diamond' symbol) to Falkland.

Disability access
The festival takes place in the palace orchard and adjoining field, predominantly grass. If you have a particular access query, please contact us in advance.
