PROGRAMME

It's an old cliché but it's true - there's something for everyone to do at Big Tent! Big Tent is a genuinely family-orientated event.

Vibrant, inspirational and though-provoking music is an integral part of Big Tent. There's some fantastic live sets on the two main music stages featuring musicians and performers as diverse as King Creosote, Rosanne Cash, Brazil!Brazil!, Mr McFalls Chamber and the Zawoze Family from Tanzania. There will be amazing dance from the TR14ers, a remarkable group of young people from Cornwall who have transformed their lives and their communities in recent years through the medium of street dance.

In the Head Zone be inspired by some great speakers, enjoy the solar powered cinema with Take One Action, stop for a coffee in the VIP lounge (that's the Very Important Planet!). In the Poetry Place we have another full programme of activities, sharing poems, stories and music.

If you are looking for the very best in crafts, handmade goods and environmental products, look no further than the Market Place where you will not only have a chance to browse and purchase, but also talk to the producers and makers about what inspires them to create their craft. Similarly the Craft and Wood Zone will be buzzing with ideas on renewable fuel, demonstrations and workshops, high quality wood products and a full programme of debates and discussions. We've a special place for craft at this year's Big Tent and we'll be offering tours of the House of Falkland, a hidden gem of arts and crafts interiors.

For a little bit of escape away from the general festival noise, head down to our Body and Soul Zone for therapies, massages and a full range of complimentary activities. There's also an opportunity to enjoy Nia, a holistic fitness and well-being programme blending dance arts, martial arts to create a unique experience.

You can be inspired to live a greener life by simply looking or chatting to many of our exhibitors in the Climate Champions Zone. You can get information on the best ways to insulate your home or get tips on improving your home composting.

For children of all ages, there's loads to do throughout the weekend with performances, workshops, singing, face painting and so much more. Watch out in particular on Sunday for the children's finale with a parade throughout the site with craft created at the festival.

And of course, it wouldn't be Big Tent without great food. The One Planet Food Village will again host a full range of mouth-watering local and organic food as well as food demonstrations and talks.
